Bottleneck Gallery Releases its First Officially License Star Wars Prints
Tomorrow, Bottleneck Gallery will release its first officially licensed Star Wars poster in conjunction with Acme Archives. Acme has held the Star Wars license for some time, releasing such prints as Mark Englert's "I'm Here to Rescue You," but they never seemed to fully take advantage of it. Now that they've teamed up with Bottleneck, we're sure to see some exciting new prints from artists that Acme may not typically work with.
[caption id="attachment_8561" align="aligncenter" width="521"] Regular Edition[/caption]First up, we have "Star Wars" by Juan Esteban Rodriguez. It's a nice print, which is cleverly designed so that the perspective we have is that of the characters looking out the window of the Millennium Falcon. The variant edition will also have the added bonus of metallic inks.
[caption id="attachment_8560" align="aligncenter" width="573"] Variant Edition[/caption]It seems like this will be the first in a series of three prints, and buying this print gives you the right of first refusal on buying the other entries in the series. So if you're lucky enough to grab this tomorrow, you'll be given an opportunity to buy Empire and Jedi, with matching numbers. Small gestures like this are what makes Bottleneck one of the most fan-friendly galleries around.
Drop Details: These will be released tomorrow at 12 PM EST on Bottleneck's website. The regular is an edition of 150 and costs $40, while the variant run will be 50 and have a price tag of $50. Both prints measure 18x24. To all those going for these, good luck!
