Shepard Fairey to Release New LetterPress Print on Thursday
This Thursday, July 17th, Shepard Fairey will release a new letterpress print aptly titled "Mustard and Navy Arrow Letterpress." Fairey's letterpresses are extremely popular, and this one should prove to be no different.
The image is taken from a print Shepard made in 1996, and he liked the image so much that he's using it again for this release.
Here's what Fairey had to say about it:
"The Mustard and Navy Arrow letterpress is a new iteration of one of my first Russian Constructivist inspired prints that I made in 1996. I used to screen print 100 prints to put up on the street and 100 to sell, but back then no one was buying my prints so I put most of them up on the street. I always liked the image a lot, and it is a crucial part of my evolution, so I thought it would be nice to make as a letterpress. Snag it now if you missed the screen print in 1996! "
Drop Details: This will go on sale Thursday, July 17th at a random time between 1PM and 3PM EST. It is a signed and numbered edition of 400. The print will have deckled edges, measures 10x13 and will cost $65. To those going for it, good luck!
