Three New Mondo Drops Set for Tomorrow

As many fans suspected when Dallas Buyers Club was released, Mondo seems to have had the intent to drop Oscar prints, just not on Oscar night. This week, we're treated to Oscar winners Frozen and American Hustle, and we also get two posters for Kurosawa’s The Hidden Fortress.

Frozen by Tom Whalen is an edition of 440, measures 24x36 and will run you $50. Whalen has been having a great run of prints with the Disney show, and this is no exception. He utilizes a familiar style, but puts a new spin on it here. He's mastered these kinds of film, and I'm sure plenty of collectors (and parents) will be rushing to have this up on the wall.

Next up is American Hustle by the suddenly ubiquitous Matt Taylor. Taylor has done a bunch of quality prints for Mondo lately, including Brick, Star Trek and the aforementioned Dallas Buyers Club. His work for American Hustle is clever, and takes a minimalistic approach.  It also rightfully focuses on the characters, which is where the film's appeal lies.  The print measures 18x24, has an edition of 325 and will run you $45.

Finally, Vania Zouravliov has two nice posters for the classic Kurosawa film "The Hidden Fortress."  The regular has English text, while the variant is in Japanese.  They are both 18x24, each have editions of 165, and cost $45.

These all go on sale tomorrow at a random time at Mondotees.com. Good luck!
