Mondo and Rich Kelly Team Up Against for TMNT
Rich Kelly's 2014 print for the original Teenage Mutant Turtles film is one of the best Mondo posters of 2014. Lucky for us, then, that Mondo has tapped Mr. Kelly to tackle the turtles again -- this time, with a print for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze.
Once again, Kelly just nails it. The colors and design are perfect; the placement, color and font of the credits evoke the Japanese culture underpinning the turtles; and it works great as a companion piece to Kelly's art for the original film. Our one complaint is that it's not the same dimensions as Kelly's original TMNT print . . . oh, and no Vanilla Ice.
Drop Details: The print will be released tomorrow, August 25th, at a random time on Mondo's website. It is an edition of 300, costs $45 and measures 24x36. To all those going for it, good luck!
