Exit Through the Gift Shop Print to be Released at Screening this Week
In 2010, Exit Through the Gift Shop was released to critical acclaim; an oscar nomination for best documentary feature; and introduced an entirely new group of people to street artists, like Banksy and Shepard Fairey. It also was released around the time that the alternative film print world began to skyrocket in popularity. It is a little strange, then, that there has been virtually no alternative artwork released for the film since its release five years ago.

While the tickets were free, and unfortunately now sold out, each attendee will be entitled to purchase Matt Ryan Tobin's fantastic print for the film.
Matt did a great job of incorporating some iconic imagery from the film and merging it into a Banksy/Mr. Brainwash/Graffiti hybrid. If you've never seen the film or won't be attending the screening, you most definitely should watch it on Netflix. It's an incredible film that has twists and turns that are hard to see coming unless you already know the history of film's major players. It's also a film that will leave you with some interesting questions: was it a hoax? what does it say about the way art is consumed and valued? Is Mr. Brainwash a genius, hack or both?
To all those who are lucky enough to attend the show and grab this print, enjoy! Hopefully, some will make their way online at some point in the future.
