Mondo Reunites with Rhys Cooper for Gremlins 2
In 1999, when Mondo was still in its infancy, Rhys Cooper was one of its best known artists. And his best known piece was for Gremlins. Now, almost six years later, he's back to finish the series with two prints for Gremlins 2.
[caption id="attachment_8721" align="aligncenter" width="350"] Regular Edition[/caption]The return of Cooper is not only significant because of the prior success of Gremlins, but it hopefully signals his permanent return to the Mondo roster. While Cooper has kept busy in the pop culture print world over the last few years, all of his work has been for galleries other than Mondo. As a result, Cooper is not only returning to one of his most successful properties, but to the gallery that made him well known in the industry. It doesn't get much better than that for Mondo fans.

This time around, there is also a variant edition that has GID inks, which is a perfect fit for Gremlins. The original Gremlins piece and Gremlins 2 look very similar, other than the layouts, which will be welcome news to collectors looking to hang up both prints as a set.
