Mondo to Debut New Work by Ortiz, Whalen and Others at Frightmare

This weekend, Mondo continues its incredible non-online output, by debuting a mini-gallery's worth of prints at Texas Frightmare.

First up, Tom Whalen creates a semi-companion piece to his non-mondo Terminator print from 2011. This time, he tackles Terminator 2, and we get glimpses of the main characters of the film.  This also means that Mondo now has the T2 license, which means plenty of more work interpreting the film! It is an edition of 425.

Also returning to a familiar arena is Randy Ortiz. Last year, Randy took on the original Alien with a great print for the film. Now, he's back at it with an incredibly detailed print for the sequel, Aliens. Randy's work just keeps getting better and better, and we're excited to see where he goes in the future. In addition to Aliens, Randy will also be tackling Gremlins.  The Aliens is an edition of 35o and the Gremlins has a run of 290.

Also at the show, Mike Saputo and Gary Pullin both have prints for Creepshow, which stand along perfectly with Mike Sutfin's fantastic work for the film. Additionally, there will be two very cool prints for Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man by Elvisdead.

The Saputo Creepshow Regular and Variant have edition sizes of 350 and 150, respectively. The Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman regular will have an edition of 225, and the variant is an edition of 100.

Boasting an impressive line-up of talent and properties, Mondo shouldn't be hard pressed to sell these out for the show. Hopefully, some make it online for those not fortunate enough to attend the event.
