Potential Jungle Book Print Coming from Olly Moss
When Mondo announced its next gallery show, the Disney Themed "Nothing's Impossible," the show card was stacked with notable talent from the Mondo roster. However, two big names were missing: Tyler Stout and Olly Moss. Well, that changed on Sunday when Olly Moss teased a print for the show on his Instagram account, before quickly deleting it. It looks to us like a Jungle Book print, but let us know if you see something else.
[caption id="attachment_3641" align="aligncenter" width="220"] The Tease from Olly's Instagram[/caption]Olly Later confirmed he will have a print at the upcoming show, explaining that he wasn't included on the show card because he didn't know if he would be able to complete his piece in time. Lucky for us, he did. This will be the first Mondo piece from Olly since this summer's Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. After a relatively quiet 2013 in terms of Mondo Output, here's hoping we see some more of Moss' work in 2013. Who knows, maybe he'll be involved in that, as yet unannounced, mysterious gallery show to follow right after "Nothing's Impossible" closes its doors. Stay tuned!
UPDATE: As you can see below, Olly's piece was indeed the Jungle Piece, and it's an absolute stunner. Hearkening back to his older style, this print jumps off the page with rich, vibrant oranges, and a cleaver use of an image within an image that Moss has mastered. Although the style is often imitated, no one can do it like Moss.
