Mondo Unveils Rear Window Prints by Adam Simpson
Mondo just announced two new screen prints by Adam Simpson for Rear Window. For those of you not familiar with Mr. Simpson, he released his first two Mondo prints in December -- one for Gone Baby Gone and this great piece for Home Alone. Although Simpson's Home Alone print was released on the same day that Aaron Horkey's Two Towers dropped, it still garnered plenty of attention and praise. It's no surprise, then, that the same concept employed for that print is used again here, with even greater results.
The idea of cutting open the house in Home Alone was great because it allowed the print to be packed with call backs to the most iconic scenes of the film, almost all of which took place inside the home. With Rear Window that layout is relied upon again, but the reason we like this print even more is that it deviates from what you would typically expect from a Rear Window print -- Jimmy Stewart's silhouette peering through his apartment window at his neighbors.
